Atturo Trail Blade XT vs Nitto Ridge Grappler
Atturo Trail Blade XT with it's less aggressive structure provides better dry and wet pavement performance and the tire is pretty great with fuel, ride comfort and snow performance. On the other side, the Nitto Ridge Grappler features superior off-road traction, on gravel, rocks and muddy tracks. And on-road, you'd be impressed with it's stability, given it's a more aggressive rugged terrain tire.
Cooper Discoverer ST Maxx vs Nitto Ridge Grappler
Cooper Discoverer ST Maxx although is slightly more voided, it's mud traction is on par compared to it's counterpart. Other than that, the tire yields better traction on snow, comfort, and on-roads, its a better tire to have on wet roads (though overall, comapred to other options available, it's not so great). The Nitto Ridge Grappler on the other side, is overall a better tire to have on dry roads, as it's great with traction, noise, fuel and tread economy.
Kanati Trail Hog vs Nitto Ridge Grappler
Comparing both tires, you'd see that the Kanati Trail Hog A/T has better performance when it comes snow traction, and on road comfortability (though don't get me wrong, by comfort, I only mean it offers better cushioning of the bumps, and the tire is pretty loud). On the other side, the Nitto Ridge Grappler does better on roads, but that only goes for dry environments (Trail Hog is better on wet pavements). Other than this, the tire stays unbeatable when it comes to climbing on rocks.
Milestar Patagonia MT vs Nitto Ridge Grappler
Milestar Patagonia MT is better in dirt, sand, and mud tire, which is not surprising at all, given it's a mud-terrain tires, though it's rocky terrain traction is only marginally better here in comparison. On the other side, the Nitto Ridge does better on pavements, comparatively, it's fuel consumption is better, it provides superior winter traction, ride comfort and traction wise, its great especially when it comes to steering response (both in wet and dry).
Nitto Trail Grappler vs Ridge Grappler
So overall, it all comes down to this, the Nitto Trail Grappler being a mud terrain tire is a much better fit when it comes to rugged terrains, including sand, mud and even rocks (though with a close margin, I should add). The Nitto Ridge Grappler on the other side, is a better tire for pavements, it shows superior traction, dry steering response, winter traction and on-road comfort.
Cooper Discoverer STT Pro vs Nitto Ridge Grappler
Cooper Discoverer STT Pro features a superior traction off-road overall. Surprise, surprise. The tire does best on sand, and mud, though on rocks it's only a little better off the two tires, according to my tests.
Pro Comp AT Sport vs Nitto Ridge Grappler
Out of both tires, the Pro Comp AT Sport provides better highway performance in terms of noise, comfort, fuel and tread life as well as traction. On the other side, the Nitto Ridge Grappler provides superior off-road grip on rocks, sand and mud filled tracks. So its basically better overall off-road, and I guess you saw this coming, right?
Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ vs Nitto Ridge Grappler
So overall it comes down to this, the Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ being more aggressive features a superior traction on sandy, rocky and muddy terrains, and although its on-road traction is good enough, it's still lacking here. On the other side, the Nitto Ridge does better on highways, in both wet and dry environments, though it's wet traction is nothing to be proud of. Moreover, the tire features a more comfortable ride, give better fuel efficiency, and takes more time to wear off completely.
Goodyear Wrangler Ultraterrain AT vs Nitto Ridge Grappler
Goodyear Wrangler UltraTerrain AT being a less aggressive tire off the two, yields a superior traction on both wet and dry roads. Moreover, the tire also does a lot better in terms of other on-road performance metrics, including snow traction, tread wear, fuel efficiency, and overall ride comfort. In comparison, the Nitto Ridge Grappler features superb off-road grip, where it shines the most on gravely and dirt filled roads.
